Drunk in a Cave

New Year’s Eve started in Napa Valley and ended in San Francisco. I was stuck outside with an English Bulldog and Chihuahua with horrible breathe looking for a place to stay. The Fairmont San Francisco, where we had originally booked our reservations had banned my sister, her boyfriend, my boyfriend at the time (now husband) from ever coming back…

It all started here at Jarvis Estates.

If you’re looking for a cool and different place to drink wine, try Jarvis Estates in Napa Valley. It is fun to drink wine, but even funner inside a cave. The tour is interesting and the wine is delicious. I sometimes find wine tours a little on the boring side…that’s until I get tipsy…of course. Looking at big canisters and listening to the process of how wine is stored and kept can be like as fun as learning calculus on a hot summer day. Sometimes, I just want to scream, “Just give me the Wine!” The Jarvis tour is interesting though. It kept me engaged and makes for fun photos. Their wine barrels are giant and the cave scene is fun. Just remember to bring a responsible adult with, because when the wine hits you, it’s game over.
